History Connect: Dispatches from the Present is founded by young historians based in the Department of History, The University of Hong Kong who believe that by engaging with the public can improve academic research and empower the wider audiences in the current digital era. Our aim is to have a space for postgraduates and early career researchers to make sense of the present through a historical lens. Our interests are broad, with various scales (empires to locales), scopes (prehistoric to contemporary), structures (interdisciplinary), and subjects (religion, diseases, politics, economies, etc.) This magazine hopes to inform and discuss, observe and criticize, enabling our work to connect to the future.
We welcome those who want to contribute to this magazine. Please refer to the submission guidelines for more information.
